Project Overview
Alan Armstrong Associates Ltd. provided engineering services for a proposed luxury development of nine (9) lots, ranging from 13,434 to 44,007 square feet in area. Services included coordination with the Client, planners, and statutory authorities; preparation of site levels, stormwater drainage designs, and hydraulic calculations; and detailing of roadworks, drainage, water supply, and underground electrical infrastructure.
The team led the preparation of bills of quantities and tender documentation, evaluated contractor submissions, and provided recommendations for contract award. During construction, AAAL carried out site inspections, chaired site meetings, reviewed programmes, assessed monthly valuations, issued payment certificates, and managed snagging through the maintenance period.
Engineering Challenges & Solutions
Challenge:
No existing water supply to site.
Solution:
Coordinated with contractor and water utility to provide a mobile water tanker.
